Our Turquoise glass spheres, often referred to as sea blue or aqua blue. The colour is truly stunning, many landscape architects have used this product in fire pits or external gas fires.
Our turquoise glass spheres are commonly used with a mixture of colours, most often with our clear glass spheres and the ink blue glass spheres
Turquoise glass spheres would be perfect when submerged in a water feature, as the colour perfectly complements use in water.
Turquoise glass spheres are made by using a mix of crushed recycled glass and a copper oxide colorant, which is a very small proportion of the overall mix.
Waste clear glass bottles and containers, are melted at high heat, oxides are then add to colour the clear glass into the various colours displayed on the website. If we had not used the waste bottles and container glass, it would have been simply dumped in landfill. Our pink glass spheres are produced by adding manganese chloride to our mix of recycled glass material. This specific mix is then heated at over 1400 degrees, to produce the product you see on our website.
Our range of glass spheres are commonly used in large glass vases, a light is placed under the sphere, this gives a beautiful prism of light, which extends out of the vase and adds a touch of class to any table decoration or display.
This product has been also used in aquariums, as the spheres are perfectly rounded, they represent no danger to fish. It is very common for the spheres to be used in fish tanks, as any light in the tank will pass through the spheres.
This product can be also used in conjunction with a small wooden stand, these stands can be made by shaping them out of ordinary wood.
We have had a number of customers, who have used this product for the centrepiece for tables at weddings. They will add a great deal of beauty and finish to any table display. They can be inserted into a large vase and an LED light or a source of light can be beamed up through the sphere. This will give a stunning visual finish to any table display.
Glass balls can also be used in water features or exterior planting projects, they will add a great deal of colour and light to any external water feature or garden design. This product should be utilised in any area which attracts a large amount of sunshine and light. This will provide the greatest chance of adding light to any water feature or garden display.
Glass spheres can also be used externally in conjunction with LED lights, many customers have placed them over LED lights. The Glass balls and spheres are held in place by some concrete or adhesive. The light from the LED light then passes through the sphere to give a stunning effect in terms of light and colour.
